Good question
Posted: Jun 09, 2012 12:00AM PST by Epic GreenmanI'd have to say mine was a few summers ago when my family and I had to stay at my uncle's out of town while he was on vacation because work was getting done on our house. There was nothing to do but watch TV or play my PSP (forgot my DS charger), so out of boredom I just decided to check the PS Store and found it had Crash Bandicoot: Warped on it. It was one of my favorite games, but I hadn't played it in years so I went down to a Gamestop nearby, got a $20 card, and spent it on that game. The feeling I got playing Crash again was indescribable. I'd always heard of nostalgia, but never really felt it until I played that game again. It felt like things may be shitty now, but as long as I can play Crash Bandicoot, it was like I'm a kid again and all those troubles are gone. The moment where I realized playing Crash Bandicoot would make me forget about all my troubles, that's my most significant moment.

Posted: Jun 10, 2012 12:00AM PST by San_Andreas...The first time I ever played Final Fantsy III (VI) on the Super NES when I was 16, I was fighting the Ultima Weapon boss on the Floating Continent. I had Mog in my party, with the accessory that makes a character float on him. The battle had gone on a long time and the boss hit my party with a Quake spell which killled everybody except Mog since he was floating. Mog was also set on "Dance" which meant that the game was pretty much on auto-battle at that point. The last time I scanned the boss right before he killed my party he still had 7000 HP left. I figured I was screwed and went off to make myself a sandwich. I came back, and the boss was dead and Mog was doing his victory dance. I wish I could have made a video of that. :)My lowest point came a day before that: when I loaded the game up for the very first time two days earlier at 4 in the afternoon and lost track of the time. When I stopped playing (by that I meant when I took a break from looking at the TV screen), it was 7... the next morning. Oops. I spend the next day wondering around the woods outside my house like a zombie, hearing the music blaring down from the heavens, thankfully I didn't have school that day. My mother was mad I'd stayed up all night nonstop, and I was probably lucky she didn't haul me off to a psych ward. :)
For me
Posted: Jun 11, 2012 12:00AM PST by XextralifeXit was not that long ago. I went to Christmas dinner to my girlfriend's uncle's house. We ate and had a great time but while we were there I started talking to the kids. Asking them what they had asked Santa for christmas. They named off a couple of toys and a 360 but said they knew they weren't going to get anything this year because their dad had lost his job a few months earlier. They told me of how they had played Rock Band beatles at another cousin's house and had a great time. So on the way home I decided to go home and pack up my 360 and Rockband and give it to them. I gave them my 360 elite ,complete rockband band bundle, three controllers and about ten games. We drove back take it to them. the expressions in their faces were the best. They couldn't stop smilling and thanking me. That for me was the greatest gaming moment.
Significant Gaming Moment
Posted: Jun 11, 2012 12:00AM PST by Glassjaw_Matt*its ok if you exempt me from the contest, but I wanted to share my two cents*I have two significant gaming moments.1. The first few months that I finally got internet and could play my Xbox and PS2 online. I stayed up for 72 hours straight, no joke, and played Socom II and Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow until exhaustion finally set in. It was probably the most fun I have ever had online and it always reminds me of what a blast I had with games when I was a teen. Even now as I barely have time to play games and am getting set to start my first real career, I always look back on that time and remember how awesome it was to be young and be able to game!2. My other significant moment was when I had about 8 friends over for a Soul Calibur tournament. I didn't win the tournament, but it was the first time I had a blast with multiplayer offline since Goldeneye. We ended up playing all day and all night, whooping on each other and talking crap. It was a blast and always reminds me of the few buddies I left behind when I moved to Seattle for college. Also, thanks for the DLC code. I purchased Braid with the $10 and was so suprised by its quality. If you haven't tried out Braid yet, you should. It's a mix between Mario and Portal/a puzzle game. Thanks,MatthewYou're qualified

Posted: Jun 13, 2012 12:00AM PST by SamuraiTerryProbably beating Halo Reach solo on legendary. That was really tough.
Huh
Posted: Jun 13, 2012 12:00AM PST by CuteIgor2Mine might be when I beat Castlevania IV on the SNES 12 times in a row in one sitting. To this day, I don't know why I did it.I was in my basement playing on an ancient mono TV. As anyone who's played Castlevania IVknows, after you beat the game, you can play the whole thing over in hard mode (there's LOTS more enemies). Only as long as you keep the console on, though. At first, I think I wanted to see what would happen if I beat the game on hard mode. I was disappointed when I found out nothing actually happens, which was why I kept playing. I entered this sort of catatonic state of cognitive dissonance, and stayed there for hours.Looking back now, I think that was when I probably became addicted to videogames. They were more or less my only source of comfort through middle and high school.
Best gaming moment for me...
Posted: Jun 13, 2012 12:00AM PST by steelerzfan101...is when I first saw my brother playing his Gameboy that he just got for his birthday. I saw him playing Super Mario Land on the gameboy and I would always bug him to let me play. He would let me play once in a while and when I did play it, I was amazed by what I could do. I could jump, run, and defeat enemies with this little plumber guy (Mario). These moments led to me becoming the gamer I am today.
Great Topic

Posted: Jun 14, 2012 12:00AM PST by TripOpt55am going to go with playing Jak 3 for the first time. Not only is it my favorite video game, but when I played it, t got me really into video games again like I hadn't been since I was younger. I think when I was in high school and early college, I had sort of gotten away from video games for other interests. I would still play some cartoony platformers and sports games, but only get a few a year. But how much I enjoyed Jak 3 and it's non-platforming elements I think pushed me to try more games and I branched out a bit more and started playing more and more games. So I think I will go with my first playthrough of Jak 3 (sort of a long moment, so maybe when I finished it then).
