Pre-G1 Pokémon Discovered!? Meet Kremzeek Nov 29, 2012 7:06PM PST

One of my late night sleep inducers recently has been watching G1 Transformers cartoons from back in the day.  I lay down, throw Youtube on the Boobtube, and fondly reminisce as the TV flicker rate displaying my colorful heroes of the mid-1980's sends me into a familiar dream state.
Episode 61 (as numbered by the Youtube user who posted it, it's actually S02E48) features a baddy named Kremzeek.  Kremzeek, created by Megatron, appears to consist solely of electric energy.  His ability to change shape at will and travel along/within any material capable of conducting an electrical current allows him to wreak havoc with CPU's, and he ends up being a major pain in the Autobot's exhaust pipes.
The episode itself isn't that great.  Kremzeek is very annoying, and the story felt like plot filler to push out a cheap episode.  However, what struck me is Kremzeek's Pokémon-like appearance and behavior.  Take a look for yourself:

While Kremzeek is crudely drawn, his color and lightening-bolt tail bear resemblence to a Pikachu.  Notice the yellow Kremzeek in the lower-left image.  Does it not resemble a Pikachu?
What clinched it for me, and made this comparison blogworthy, is the fact that Kremzeek says nothing but his own name over and over again.
"Kremzeek, Kremzeek... Kremzeeeeeeeeek!"
As if to push the Pokémon foreshadowing from this December 27th, 1985 episode into the realm of believable conspiracy, part of the episode actually takes place in Japan!
So here's my theory:
During the fray of battle between Kremzeek and the Autobots in Japan, one of the Kremzeek clones that multiplied out of Blaster's chest escapes into a local powerline.  For years, Kremzeeks continue to multiply and wreak havoc along telecommunication lines across the globe.   Blackouts attributed to weather or natural disaster are actually the work of a devious Kremzeek.
In 1995, modern anti-virus software pushes Kremzeeks to the brink of extinction.  In a last ditch effort to maintain geneology, right before his last ionic breath had been released, the last remaining Kremzeek breeds with a squirrel, which then births the first ever Pikachu.
Here's the episode.  You be the judge.
@ 1:47 , is that a Pokéball prototype in Megatron's hands?

Squirrel boinking to avoid extinction? I can buy it! I did find it peculiar how the little electric nuisance from Transformers acted just like a Pokemon. lol.

I actually remember watching that episode when I was a kid.  It stuck out in my mind all these years.
